Today's Red Ribbon theme was 'Tesm Up Against Drugs'. Also at the Grade School- a book with Mrs. Rinker, pumpkin facts with Ag in the Classroom, and some work with weights and balance.









Due to a water main break, tonight's (Oct. 30th) 8th Grade Girls Basketball NTC games at Beecher City Jr. Sr. High School have been moved to Cowden Herrick High School.

Congratulations to the 7th Grade Girls Basketball Team. They earned 3rd place in the NTC Tournament.


The senior and junior classes are currently selling fruit. Orders are due by November 7th. Fruit will be delivered the week of Dec. 2nd. If you are interested in purchasing fruit, please contact Mr. Hammer, Mrs. Herrmann, or a class member.


Reminder- early dismissal on Tuesday(22nd) and Thursday(24th) for parent conferences. 1:50 -Grade School and 2:00- High School. No school Friday (25th).

Spanish Club spent time with the Fourth Graders and there was a school wide scavenger hunt at the Grade School today.







The Grade School students enjoyed a visit with the Tri-County Fire Dept and Deputy Dale today.

Students attended the Construction Trades Expo at LIFT in Mattoon on Wednesday, October 9th. They heard from several different types of trades and had the opportunity to try a few while at the expo.









The 7th grade made straw rockets in science class.

The Fifth Grade created ecosystems. They were also challenged to create the longest paper chain given equal amounts of paper.










Lots of activity at the Grade School- rubbings in Art, gummy worms and building blocks in Preschool, partner work, and a trip to the Beecher City Library for the Kindergarten and Fourth Grades











In science, 6th graders are working with technology and doing a scaveger hunt. Biology II is collecting bugs, and in art, students are drawing superheroes.

Congratulations to Kadence Sutter for being nominated as the Daughters of the American Revolution award recipient. This prestigious honor focuses on qualities such as dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.


On Tuesday, October 1, juniors visited Lake Land College for Career Day. Each student had the opportunity to sit in classes and learn about their career areas of interest. Students also spoke with several colleges, universities, and trade schools of their choice.
