The sophomore biology classes and 7th grade science class started the year off with a botany unit. They did several nature walks on the school campus learning how to identify trees. They enjoyed completing their leaf collections and constructing their display posters. Many students said that now when they look at a tree they cannot help but try to figure out what kind it is.
SENIORS: The state of Illinois is requiring all students to either complete the FAFSA form as part of their graduation requirements or sign a waiver declining to apply. Members of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be hosting a Google Meeting to assist parents and students in completing this process. Students and parents should have received an invitation to the google meeting on October 15. Members of the ISAC team are hosting the meeting and they will take you step by step through the financial aid process. For more information, please contact Mrs. Keller at tkeller@beechercity.org.
