Beecher City FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Organization is selling Pies and Cookies from Neimergs from now until November 17th! Pies will be delivered on Wednesday November 25th! Students are selling Apple, Pumpkin, and Pecan Pies for $15 each and cookies of the following flavors for $10/dozen : Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter, M&M Monster, and Macadamia Nut. Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for junior high and high school students. To schedule parent-teacher conferences, please contact the high school office by phone at (618) 487-5100. Conferences will be for a duration of ten minutes and be scheduled every fifteen minutes. Please designate if you would like to do your conference remotely over the phone or in-person. One family member per student will be permitted in the building for the conference. This is to keep the number of people entering the building at a minimum.

The Illinois State Board of Education Nutrition Department is excited to share that the U.S. Department of Agriculture just announced waiver extensions that will allow schools to operate Summer Meals programs through the end of School Year 2020-21, offering free meals to students. This changes the expiration from Dec. 31, 2020, to June 30, 2021.

Seniors don't forget to fill out your FAFSA.

Upcoming: Seniors will be taking the SAT on Wednesday, October 14. Many of the juniors will be taking the PSAT on the same day.

The eighth graders have been working on personal projects in shop class. We are putting the finishing touches on projects as students are getting set to change exploratory classes at the end of the quarter.

High school cross country had a meet today at Ballard Nature Center. Way to go Bobcats.

ATTENTION JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND GUARDIANS, attached is an announcement with information about parent-teacher conferences this year.

October 14 will be a testing day at BCHS for seniors and many juniors. The senior class will be taking their SAT. This test is rescheduled from last spring. Many of the juniors will be taking the PSAT. This test is a pre-SAT test and will also consider them for National Merit recognition based on their score. Wish them all good luck!!!!

There will be a mandatory HS cheer leading meeting on Monday, October 5th. It will be held at the Beecher City High School library from 5 - 6 pm. Any HS girl interested in becoming a cheerleader needs to attend the meeting.
